CELEBRATIONS took place to mark Plough Sunday.
The event took place in Charlton Church in Pershore and marked the resumption of agricultural work after the twelve days of Christmas.
Plough Sunday usually falls on the first Sunday of Epiphany but lies behind the older tradition of Plough Monday stretching back to Medieval times.
Residents celebrated by blessing the plough, praying for a good harvest and a a bacon butty breakfast in the Old Schoolroom.
