Worcester Magistrates Court - Public order and criminal damage cases

CAROL ROBERTS, of Guildford Close, Worcester, admitted three charges of sending by public communication network an offensive/indecent/obscene/menacing message/matter. 

The offences took place between April 17 and June 10 last year. 

The 75-year-old was told to return to the court on February 16 for sentence. 

Magistrates ordered a pre-sentence report in her case.

Roberts was given unconditional bail. 

MATTHEW GOPSILL, who gave a care of address of Bredon View Close, Pershore, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place. 

The court heard the offence took place between December 2 and December 3 last year, in St James Drive, Evesham. 

The 34-year-old was fined £40 and ordered to pay £60 cost, £16 victim surcharge.

Magistrates ordered Gopsill to pay the full amount, £116, in full within 28 days.

ROWENA THORNEYCROFT, of Bridge Street, Worcester, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place. 

The 56-year-old committed the offence at Worcester Bus Station on December 4. 

Thorneycroft was fined £40. Due to the defendant's limited means no order for costs of victim surcharge was made.

KIERA KYTE, of Bath Road, Worcester, admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis - vehicle driver; using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third-party insurance and driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence. 

The 21-year-old committed the offence on December 12 when the defendant was caught driving a Vauxhall Vectra in Lowesmoor, Worcester.

Kyte was disqualified from driving for a year, which will be reduced by three months if a drink-drive awareness course is successfully completed. 

Kyte was fined £120 and ordered to pay costs of £135, victim surcharge of £48 by magistrates.

AARON DOBBINS, of Tolladine Road, Worcester, admitted criminal damage to property. 

The 31-year-old committed the offence in Worcester on November 26 - Dobbins causing damage to a Vauxhall Vectra.

Magistrates ordered Dobbins pay £100 compensation, and fined the defendant £40.

Dobbins was also told to pay £80 court costs. 

THOMAS SWEET, of Saltway, Droitwich, is accused of possessing a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place. 

The prosecution alleges the 44-year-old committed the offence on December 13 last year in Swan Drive, Droitwich - Sweet accused of carrying a kitchen knife. 

The case was listed at the court on January 18 but Sweet was unable to attend due to medical reasons. 

The case was adjourned until January 26 at Worcester Magistrates Court when Sweet, who has unconditional bail, will potentially enter a plea to the charge. 

HURBERT LOCK, of no fixed abode, denied an offence of theft from a shop.

The prosecution alleges the 45-year-old stole meat and fruit, valued at £219.52, from Waitrose in Droitwich on December 19 last year. 

Lock denied the offence during the first hearing of the case at Worcester Magistrates Court. 

Lock was told to attend his expected three-hour trial which is scheduled to take place at the court on April 8.

The defendant was given conditional bail - the condition being he must go within Waitrose, Droitwich, for any reason. 

CRAIG WALKER, of St Peters Walk, Droitwich, admitted an offence of using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour to cause harassment/alarm/ distress. 

The court heard the 52-year-old committed the public order offence in Droitwich on December 27 last year. 

Walker was fined £200, ordered to pay £50 compensation, costs of £50 and victim surcharge if £80.

The defendant accepted Walker's offer to pay the £380 total at a rate of £20 per month.
