HERE is your first look at the 250-home development in Moreton.

A whopping 38.7 acres of land - the size of 21 football pitches - was secured by Spitfire Homes after planning permission was given the green light by the Cotswold District Council back in July. 

The housing developer has revealed computer-generated images (CGIs) of what the one-to-five-bedroom properties at the Ellenbrook development will look like.

Work has already started on the development, which is located on the town's southern edge, just off the A429, opposite North Cotswolds Hospital and Fosseway Garden Centre.

The homes adhere to the honey-coloured exteriors known to Cotswolds homes.

The collection will present a mixture of honey-coloured natural and reconstituted stone and red brickwork and slate roofs, creating an array of impressive street scenes.

Each home will have a designer kitchen, high-specification bathrooms, and open-plan layouts.

All homes at Ellenbrook will have heating and hot water supplied by air-source heat pumps and are equipped with photovoltaic (PV) solar panels and battery provision.

Electric vehicle charging points and underfloor heating also come as standard.

According to a council report, several attempts to build on the land had been attempted since 1973 but have fallen through, including a proposal to build a new supermarket in 2013 and 150 homes in 2017.
