Evesham's cultural calendar is bubbling with excitement this week with a series of interesting events to kick 2024 off.
Whether you fancy bagging yourself some vintage bargains, or relaxing into the new year with a sound bath, there is something for everyone in Evesham and the surrounding area.
Speak Your Mind Poetry Night
Starting a lively week is 'Speak Your Mind' poetry night, celebrating diverse voices from Worcestershire and the book launch of 'One of the Heard'.
The event features readings from contributors, with the project co-ordinated by The Word Association and funded by The National Lottery.
Hosting the event is Jemima Hughes who brings the "mindfield" of the unorthodox to the stage.
This will be held at The Old Needle Works in Britten Street, from 7pm to 10pm on January 3.
Beginners Crochet Workshop
Novice crocheters can master the art of crafting beautiful granny squares with a three-week Beginners Crochet Workshop.
For just £60, participants will acquire the knowledge of a variety of crochet stitches with hook, guide and yarn - all included.
These workshops will be held at 18 Vine Mews, from 6pm until 8pm, starting January 3.
Worcester's Preloved Kilo Pop-up
The week witnesses a change in tempo on offer with the return of Worcester's Affordable PK Pop-up.
There will be a treasure trove of men's, women's and children's clothing plus accessories ranging from the 60s vintage to modern brands, available at £15 per kilo.
It is a unique opportunity to update wardrobes with trendy pieces without breaking the bank.
Pop to the pop-up at Worcester Guildhall, anytime between 10am and 5pm on Saturday, January 6.
Soundbath Worcester, New Years rebalance
Finally, revel in the tranquillity of a sound bath at Soundbath Worcester - a New Years rebalance, starting at 7pm on Sunday, January 7.
Frequencies, sounds and silence make for a meditative journey into a state of peace ready for relaxation and tranquillity in 2024.
Head over to Claines Church Hall for this one.
From poetry to crochet, shopping to meditation, Evesham is ready to start the year with a bang.
