A MAN was found with drugs in his possession during police patrols at a shopping centre.
On Tuesday, December 5, two officers from the Evesham town north and rural south safer neighbourhood policing team were conducting patrols of Riverside Shopping Centre.
The patrols were carried out following an increased number of calls regarding drug use and anti-social behaviour.
PC Adam Johns said: "During the patrol they came across a male who tried to evade officers before being stopped and then searched for drugs. The search itself was positive for drugs and the investigation will follow up.
"Drug dealing and Anti-social behaviour are two of the town council's main priorities and we will continue to try and disrupt the problems.
"You can help us deal with drug crime and the associated anti-social behaviour that goes with it.
"The public are our eyes and ears, and no one knows better than the residents what is going on in a neighbourhood or community."
