A 76-YEAR-old is awaiting sentence for two assaults.
Philip Bryant, of Cowl Street, Evesham, appeared for the latest hearing of his case at Worcester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, (November 28).
In October Bryant pleaded guilty to two charges; assault by beating of an emergency worker and assault a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm.
Both offences took place on June 9 in Evesham. The emergency worker listed in the charge is police officer Ryan Boon.
During the latest hearing prosecutor Owen Beale said there were still administrative matters that needed to be completed in regards to the case, so the crown was asking for a short adjournment.
Judith Kenney, defending, agreed this was the position, adding the pre-sentence report had been completed which had led to a previous adjournment of the case.
Trevor Burgess, chairman of the magistrates bench, told Bryant his sentence was being adjourned until December 14.
Magistrates gave Bryant unconditional bail but the chairman stressed to the defendant there was one condition - to attend court for his sentence.
