A COTSWOLD man has been cleared of a second count of racially aggravated harassment.
We previously reported James Lofthouse, 43, had been in court charged with two counts of racially aggravated behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
Mr Lofthouse, of West End in Kingham, denied both counts and went on trial at Southwark Crown Court in October.
On October 27, Mr Lofthouse was acquitted on one of the counts.
Mr Lofthouse returned to the court on November 15 when the Crown Prosecution Service announced it would offer no evidence to the second count, meaning that was the end of the matter.
Following the end of the case, Mr Lofthouse said: "I'm relieved this whole ordeal is over and that I have been cleared of the charges which I have always vigorously denied.
"I also want to thank all my family and friends for their unwavering support throughout.”
