CROWDS flocked to Evesham's Christmas light switch on.
The always popular event took place on Saturday night, (November 18).
On stage in Market Square there were performances from local musicians including Santa Sax, Avonbank Brass Band, The Lizards, Beth Humphries and All Killer will also perform in the Market Square.
There was the opportunity for families to meet Father Christmas who set up his grotto in the Valkyrie Bar.
A fireworks display accompanied the impressive lights being switched on at 5.30pm.
Town Mayor, Councillor Alan Booth, thanked the crowds for attending the event in the packed square.
He told the Journal: "There was a brilliant turnout, exceptional for the weather we had.
"It all went well.
"The entertainment was absolutely superb.
"There was something for everyone.
"It was all topped off with a brilliant fireworks display."
Evesham's MP, Nigel Huddleston, who attended wrote on X, formerly Twitter: "Lovely atmosphere at the Christmas lights switch on and firework display in Evesham this evening."
