A dog charity has appealed for donations to help homeless hounds enjoy their festive season ahead of its annual Christmas fair.

The Evesham branch of Dogs Trust, the largest dog welfare charity in the UK, is preparing to host its festive event on Saturday, November 25.

As part of the Wickhamford-based rehoming centre's efforts to ensure all dogs enjoy a safe, happy life, they have requested donations of sweet treats, bottles, pre-loved dog accessories, toiletries, and trinkets.

Abby Watson, supporter relations officer at Dogs Trust Evesham, said: "The Christmas Fair is a key fundraising event for us and it’s always a great day for everyone.

"Every penny raised makes sure we can give our dogs everything they need throughout the year, not just at Christmas, whilst they wait for their forever homes."

The Christmas Fair, taking place from 12pm to 4pm, offers a chance to meet 'Santa Paws', browse craft and gift stalls for the perfect present for your furry friends or loved ones or even win a tombola.

For those looking to support the cause, all donations can be sent or taken to Dogs Trust Evesham at 89 Pitchers Hill, Wickhamford, Evesham WR11 7RT.
