BONFIRE night has been cancelled by the town council due to flooding.
Evesham Town Council's annual Bonfire and Firework Spectacular at Corporation Meadow will not take place this year after the field became waterlogged.
The event was supposed to take place on November 4 at 5pm.
Storm Babet brought heavy rainfall across Worcestershire last week that caused flooding.
The town council said Corporation Meadow shows no signs of drying out and more rain is forecasted over the next few days.
Everyone who has bought a ticket in advance will be refunded and those who paid online should receive a refund in the next few days.
A spokesperson for Evesham Town Council said: "Unfortunately, the recent flooding has left Corporation Meadow waterlogged, and with more rain forecast over the next few days, the chances of it drying out enough are remote.
"We have therefore taken the difficult decision to cancel this year's bonfire and fireworks event.
"All advance ticket holders will be refunded.
"If you paid online, this will be done automatically over the next few days. You don't need to do anything. If you bought your tickets over the counter at the Almonry, please call in to receive a refund."
