A STRANGER Things Halloween display in aid of two charities has been created by a family in Evesham.
Helen Merriman created the display at 97 Rynal Place with her mother, Yvonne Obrien, and her son Oliver (age 12).
Miss Merriman is a big fan of the show and regularly creates displays in her front garden for both Halloween and Christmas.
She said: "I was going to do a carnival theme originally, but my son and I watched Stranger Things together and loved it.
"I saw somebody create a floating Max (a character from Stranger Things) on their lawn, which gave me the inspiration to create one of my own.
"The rest of the display is made up of lots of scenes and sets from the show like Castle Byers, the swimming pool used by Eleven and the Byers' family living room with the alphabet on the wall."
Stranger Things is a Netflix original which focuses on a series of mysterious events that happen to the town of Hawkins, set in the 1980s.
In previous years, Miss Merriman has decorated the garden with skeletons and other spooky props in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance.
She said: "The air ambulance is a great cause, but we have decided to split the funds this year down the middle, with half going to the scouts.
"My son recently joined and I feel like a lot of people do not know that the scouts rely on donations.
"Over the last few years, I have raised over £1,000 from generous people visiting the house, with almost £200 alone raised this year."
Miss Merriman said that the feedback she has received has been amazing, and thanked the public for their kind messages.
She said: "We are not far away from a couple of schools, and we have lots of kids walking past to see the display which is lovely.
"On social media as well, the interaction with the pictures we have uploaded has also been so lovely.
"It will be tough to think of what can top this display next year."
The nostalgia-filled television series has four seasons which can be streamed on Netflix.
