A NEW food hygiene rating has been handed to two Wychavon eateries.

The Food Standards Agency has rated two establishments, which can range from restaurants, cafes or canteens, from across the city. 

The hygiene ratings are:

  • The Crown Inn at Main Street, Peopleton, Worcestershire, was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 3.
  • The Island House, a takeaway at 4 - 5 Merstow Green, Evesham, Worcestershire, was handed a five-out-of-five on October 5.
