The owners of a dog that keeps running loose in a village near Evesham have been told to keep it under control.
West Mercia Police say they’ve had “numerous” reports of a loose dog in Offenham.
Officers have issued the owners with a Community Protection Notice, which means they will be committing a criminal offence should they breach certain conditions.
These include ensuring the dog does not escape from their garden, and keeping it muzzled and on a suitable lead when out in public.
“We would encourage the public to report any incidents of loose dogs that cause the public to be put in fear,” said PC Alex Prentice, of the Evesham Safer Neighbourhood Team.
“Thank you for your help. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can prevent and detect crime.”
