A MAN died following a motorcycle crash in Evesham yesterday afternoon, it has been revealed.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to reports of a motorbike that had crashed into a lamppost at the junction of the A44 and A46 in Twyford, Evesham at 5.41pm.
One ambulance, two paramedic officers, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
An off-duty firefighter also stopped at the scene and was providing medical assistance on the arrival of ambulance staff.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find one patient, a man, who was in a critical condition.
“Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts, it became apparent nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”

Motorists were advised to avoid the A46 near the Twyford Island in Evesham and expect delays following a fatal crash just after 6pm yesterday evening (Wednesday, August 30).
The road was closed at the roundabout while emergency services attended and reopened in the early hours of the morning today (Thursday, August 31).
