A TOP Michelin-star restaurant is moving from Birmingham to Worcestershire.
Carters of Moseley, one of the top restaurants in Birmingham, has opened in Offenham until November.
The Michelin-star restaurant has moved into one of Westlands UK’s glasshouses until November 5 before moving into a permanent place, which is still to be announced.
Surrounded by living herbs, flowers and fauna, guests can enjoy eight servings inspired by the area’s natural bounty and Carter’s ethos of ‘ultra-British seasonality’.
An outdoor terrace supported by award-winning sparkling wine producer Gusbourne has been created to complement the space.
Award-winning mixologist Rob Wood has also designed three aperitif and three digestif style cocktails, pursuing the hyper-seasonal and local mantra of Carters by using ingredients from the UK and showcasing the produce available from Westlands.
The menu includes a recreation of James Pimm’s 1840 Gin Cup, alongside a foray of Westlands UK herbs and English cherries and berries for the new Westlands UK Cup.
Brad and Holly Carter picked Westlands UK in Evesham as the Carters' pop-up because it is one of their key suppliers.
Mr Carter said: “I’m buzzed to be cooking at Westlands UK, to see our idea come to fruition feels great.
"Westlands UK is committed to sustainability, so our responsibility throughout summer is to support their ongoing mission of work - the menu sits at around 75% of produce grown in and around the dining space.”
Westlands UK is a family-owned, multi-generational business headed by Managing Director Will Boers.
"We're so proud to welcome the highly-regarded Carters of Moseley on-site here at Westlands UK," Mr Will Boers said.
"Brad and I have worked closely together for a number of years and feel this collaboration is an epic match; combining sustainably-grown produce with talented chefs in an inspiring setting can only result in amazing, innovative dishes."
Carters will relocate permanently in early 2024.
