A SMOULDERING manure pile was the cause of a barn fire in the Vale of Evesham.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service responded to a 10m by 5m barn fire in Sedgeberrow at 11.02pm last night (Sunday, August 27).
The fire was caused by a smouldering manure pile which was behind the building in an adjacent field.

Two crews from Evesham and Broadway used a main jet and a thermal image camera to extinguish the blaze.
The area was reinspected by crews this morning (Monday, August 28) at 7am.
