"Warmest congratulations" were given after students across The Vale received their GCSE results.
Teenagers across the country were waking up today (Thursday) to their GCSE results in a year when the proportion of top grades awarded was expected to fall.
Schools across Evesham and Pershore were pleased with their student's success this year after many of the pupils had experienced disruption to their learning due to the pandemic.
Georgina Cook received outstanding results from Prince Henry's High School after being awarded 11 Grade 9s (the equivalent of A**).
The school was particularly pleased that 74% of students achieved five or more GCSEs at Grade 4 and above, including English and Maths.
Dr Tony Evans, Headteacher, said: “I would like to offer my warmest congratulations to the students and their parents or carers and families.
"Our Year 11 students have been a remarkable and resilient group of young people who thoroughly deserve the outstanding academic success they have achieved.
"I am extremely proud of the entire Prince Henry’s community, and I offer my sincerest congratulations to everyone concerned.”
Headteacher Ruth Allen from The De Montfort School said her student's resilience never fails to amaze her.
She added: “As with our A-level results, it is important to remember that our students have not had an easy few years following the pandemic.
"The resilience of our students never fails to amaze me, and today, our students have been rewarded for their continued hard work and determination with excellent results.
"My thanks goes out to all our parents or carers who have supported us throughout, as well as a huge thank you to our hard-working staff who are committed to ensuring that all our students receive the education they deserve."
Individual successes at the school include Eloise Harris, Lewis Trigg, Megan Clifford, Steven Hemming, Patty Tripakorn, Imogen Joyner, Rohan Hewitt, Oliver Milner, Emily Baylis-Edkins and Julia Weisjahn who all achieved 7 or more grades 9-7.
Pershore High School said its students have once again performed well in their GCSE examinations this summer.
71% of grades were awarded at 4+, 54% at 5+ and 18% of grades were achieved at 7+.
Overall, 63% of students achieved 5 grades at 4+.
Executive Headteacher Phil Hanson said: "I am so pleased to congratulate our fabulous students on their great GCSE results.
"They have worked very hard despite the disruption they faced and this has paid off with really well deserved results.
"I would like to pay tribute to all of their teachers who have supported the students so well and helped them to achieve their grades."
