FARM equipment was smouldering but fire crews swung into action before it could turn into a blaze.

Firefighters were sent to an agricultural building in Sheriffs Lench, near Evesham, after the 35-tonne grain dryer started smouldering.

Two Evesham Fire Station crews attended the scene off Hill Furze Road and investigated with a thermal imaging camera.

They found hotspots in the grain and used a triple extension ladder, and dampened down the area with a hose reel jet.
