A POPULAR baked potato shop has opened in its new venue and given a sneak peek into what the store looks like.
The Spud Man - now more formally known as Ye Olde Baked Potato Shoppe - officially opened its new shop on Market Square yesterday (Monday) after leaving the Riverside Shopping Centre.
Tom Bowen took over the business from his father, Mick Bowen, who still helps his son in the shop, 12 years ago.
The father and son duo have been a popular staple in Riverside Shopping Centre for 34 years and are both excited for the next business venture.

Tom Bowen said: We were working from a tiny unit, and moving into the new building was a bit daunting.
"I think one thing we really wanted is a bit of security, which we didn't have in the previous location.
"The plan is to do another 34 years in this new venue."
Gold and black balloons, which marked the business colour scheme, were placed around the premises, and a grey ribbon was cut.

The mayor of Evesham, Alan Booth, was also in attendance at the ceremony as well as an abundance of customers.
Katie Gilbert from Evesham Noticeboard helped the two make arrangements for the day.
"We had people come who I hadn't seen in 15 years just to support us and say how happy they see we are doing well," Mick Bowen said.
"It was marvellous and could not have been better."
The two said they had planned for it to be busy but had yet to anticipate the shop to be so full of customers congratulating them.
Since renting the abandoned building, the two have been working towards completely transforming the interior of the new venue.
However, Mr Bowen emphasised that the business as a whole has stayed the same, but rather a few tweaks have been made.
"Regarding the menu, we have added baguettes -which we never used to do - and ice cream.
"We have not made huge changes because there is no need to fix something that isn't broken."
The business will still carry on as a takeaway - the inside seating will be a separate venture with more details to follow.
