Long Lartin prison
Three people were arrested after a drone was spotted flying “suspiciously” over a prison.
Police were called to HMP Long Lartin in South Littleton, near Evesham in the early hours of Saturday morning (July 22).
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said officers attended at about 2am “following reports of a drone that had been seen flying over suspiciously”.
“Officers conducted a thorough search of the area, with support of the police helicopter,” they said.
“As a result, three people were arrested in connection with the incident.”
HMP Long Lartin is a high-security prison that can house up to 609 prisoners.
