A van fire blocked a main road into Evesham last night (Sunday, July 9).
The vehicle and about five metres of hedgerow were on fire in Badsey Road, Aldington, at about 9pm yesterday.
A fire service spokesperson said: “Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was called out to a small vehicle on fire in Badsey Road, Aldington, at 8.55pm on Sunday.
“Crews from Pebworth and Broadway Fire Stations attended the incident involving one van and approximately five metres of hedgerow which were well alight.
“The fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets and the scene was checked with a thermal imaging camera.
“There were no casualties and the police attended with access routes from Evesham and Badsey blocked.
“The final crew left the incident at 11.54pm after awaiting recovery of the vehicle.”
