THE following cases were heard by Worcester magistrates recently. 

 

ADAM PRITCHARD, of Ombersley Street West, Droitwich, admitted racially aggravated intentional harassment, causing alarm and distress through words and writing.

The offence took place on March 3 this year while Pritchard was in custody. 

The 35-year-old was fined £701, told to pay compensation of £200, costs of £185 and victim surcharge of £280.

 

DANIEL HANLEY, of Marsh Close, Malvern, pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling and theft. 

The 28-year-old stole a £50 Carrera Mountain Bike and £150 electric scooter on March 14 this year at Moreton House, Worcester. 

Hanley was given a one-year community order with a nine-month drug rehabilitation requirement. 

 

CRAIG IVERS, 39, of Charles Henry Road, Droitwich, pleaded guilty to theft from a shop. 

He stole alcohol worth £250 from Waitrose in Droitwich on April 6 this year.

Ivers was told to pay £125 compensation to the supermarket chain. 

 

JASON SPENCER, of St Pauls Hostel, admitted theft from a shop. 

The theft took place on May 16 this year in B&M Bargains in Droitwich, Spencer stealing washing detergent valued at £47.45.

The court heard the offence was committed shortly after Spencer had been given a suspended prison sentence.

The 48-year-old was given 12 weeks in jail. 

 

ROYSTON PENNY, of Gilberts End Lane, Hanley Castle, admitted being in charge of a motor vehicle with an alcohol level above the legal limit.

The offence took place on May 21 in Malvern. 

Penny was given 10 penalty points. 

He was fined £254 and told to pay costs of £135 and victim surcharge of £102. 

 

DEAN MINTER, 40, of Skyrrold Road, Malvern, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour with the intent to cause harassment, alarm, or distress.

Minter committed the offence on June 7 this year in Malvern. 

Minter was fined £415 and ordered to pay £50 compensation has to pay £135 court costs.
