WYCHAVON residents will have the chance to find out more about health and well-being support on offer in the area.
Living Well in the Community returns for its fourth year this week, with more than 30 organisations set to fill Evesham Leisure Centre, offering advice and answering questions about the services they offer.
With loneliness and isolation an increasing issue, organisers are hopeful this event will help people in the area discover the options available to them, as well as provide an opportunity for professionals in the healthcare industry to network.
Organiser Audrey Giraldi, team lead care co-order for South Worcestershire Primary Care Network, said: “We have been working extremely hard to open doors for residents of Evesham and beyond to showcase the support out there in the Community.
“These types of Events bring hope and provide a springboard to ways in which healthcare in our local Community can be transformed.”
The newly elected chairman of Wychavon, Robert Raphael, and Mayor of Evesham, Alan Booth, will open the event at 10am on Thursday, June 29.
It is free to attend, with free parking being offered by Wychavon District Council.
Organisations set to attend include Action for Children, Acquired Brain Injury Trust, Age UK, British Heart Foundation, Community Housing, Evesham Talking Newspaper, HW Fire Prevention, Older Peoples Forum, Parkinson’s UK, Sight Concern, Starting Well, and Women’s Health UK.
There will also be entertainment provided by the Malarkey Ukulele Band, as well as an appearance from the GreenApe Smoothie Bike.
