CHILDREN could be put at risk due to illegal and dangerous parking outside a First School in Evesham according to police.
People have been raising concerns with police about parking near Sedgeberrow CofE First School and officers have been issuing parking fines to "persistent offenders."
A spokesperson from West Mercia Police said: "Inconsiderate or illegal parking can put pedestrians and other road users in danger.
"With the parking being outside of the school those dangerously parking are not only obstructing the highway but putting the children at risk of danger moving in and out of live traffic."
It can also create an obstruction for emergency vehicles.
Parking enforcement officers have also been employed by Wychavon.
Police have pledged to tackle the situation and taken the following steps:
- Talking to motorists and advising them of the law
