POLICE have offered advice following a series of break-ins around Evesham.
West Mercia Police is investigating after receiving a number of reports of burglaries and attempted burglaries.
The offender(s) have attempted to gain entry, and on occasion successfully, to properties in the Lime Street and Highfield Road areas of Evesham.
The incidents were all reported between Friday (May 19) and Sunday (May 21).
Officer Justin Lane of the Evesham Town South and Rural West police team has offered advice to help keep residents safe.
He said: "We are urging people to be particularly vigilant to burglaries as the warm weather arrives.
"During the summer months, doors and windows are often left open, making homes an easy target for thieves.
"There are some simple but effective ways that you can protect your property."

Tips for protecting your home this Summer
- Keep front, patio and back doors closed and locked when you are elsewhere in the house or the garden
- Keep garden gates locked when you are out
- Ensure windows and external doors on the ground floor are locked at night, and all doors and windows are locked when you are out
- Remember to close downstairs windows when leaving a room
- Find out about property marking schemes such as Smartwater
- Look out for your neighbour's property if they are away for a few days
- Join your local Neighbourhood Watch Scheme
