A TRAIN was stopped in its tracks after the railway line flooded during a thunderstorm.

Commuters experienced unexpected delays after the railway track became waterlogged during rain and thunder on Tuesday (May 9).

Paul Smith was passing over the Defford Railway Bridge when he noticed the track was completely submerged in water.

It was only when he walked to the other side of the bridge that he realised that the train going from Worcester to Cardiff was stuck.
