A NEW water play site at a popular Evesham park is now open.
Contractor 'The Splash' joined members of Wychavon District Council's Parks Team to turn on the new water play feature at Evesham's Abbey Park on Thursday, April 27.
The water play area includes hydro blast jets, a water spider, a spray canon, an archway with jets and a water curtain.
There are also tipper buckets, an accessible wavy bridge and new seating, and will be open daily from 10am to 6pm until September.

Jon Hulbert, Wychavon’s senior parks and greenspace officer, said: “We’re delighted to be able to turn on Evesham’s new water play area and hope people will enjoy using this new and improved facility.
"All we need now is the weather."
The £330,000 project is part of a wider replacement plan for Wychavon’s ageing water play areas which are coming to the end of their natural life.
Subject to funding approval, it is hoped the water play area in Abbey Park in Pershore will be replaced by summer 2024 and the water play in Lido Park in Droitwich Spa by summer 2025.
The current water play areas in Abbey Park in Pershore and Lido Park in Droitwich will be switched on in May, but the exact dates are still to be confirmed.
