FIRE CREWS from Evesham were called to a woodburning stove fire.
Two crews from Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service and an aerial ladder from Worcester were at the scene on Broadway Road, Aston Somerville, yesterday (Sunday) evening.
The chimney fire was extinguished using a hose reel from the aerial ladder platform with a working at height kit and ladders.
There were no casualties, and no other emergency services attended.
A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Evesham Fire Station and the aerial ladder platform from Worcester were called at 18:25 on April 16 to a woodburning stove fire in Broadway Road, Aston Somerville.
"A fire in a chimney was extinguished using a hose reel from the aerial ladder platform with a working at height kit used and ladders used to gain access to the chimney.
"There were no casualties, and no other emergency services attended.
"A reinspection was carried out at 1.30am, and the incident was marked as closed at 2.15am."
