Mother's tribute to 'life of the party' son killed in car crash

Susan Tustin has been remembering her son, Jobie Haynes, who died in a car crash near Pinvin on Sunday (March 26).

Jobie was just 26 years old but leaves his mother and dad Paul Haynes, who co-parented their son, with countless special memories.

His mum said: “He was the most caring, loving, amazing person.

“He was kind to everybody, I used to look after people with special needs and he always had time for them.

“Nobody could have a bad word to say about Jobie.

“If you were feeling down, you knew who to ring.”

Since his death, dozens of friends and family have visited Susan at her home in Strensham.

Among them, Jobie’s friend Joe Kemp, who met him at school 19 years ago.

“He was the life of the party,” said Joe.

“He was always smiling, everyone loved him.

“An amazing, caring soul, he loved his mum and everyone he met really.

“He’s going to be the best man at my wedding.

“I love you Jobie.”

Jobie and his mother previously lived in Ombersley, where he would host parties with up to 60 people in attendance.

“He was a party animal,” his mum continued.

“He just had so many amazing parties.

“We did everything we could in 26 years and there was a reason for that.”

Jobie only arrived back in England two weeks ago, having spent the past six months travelling around Australia and south east Asia.

As well as exploring the world, Jobie had a passion for cars, having competed in rallies and motocross.

Susan added: “He’s been driving since he was 12, as soon as he could reach the pedals.

“He used to take our vehicles into the field.”

Details are yet to be confirmed but Jobie’s funeral will be held at Pershore Abbey.

“There’s never going to be another funeral like it, they are not going to be able to fit everyone in,” his mum said.

Floral tributes and heartfelt messages have been left at the scene of Sunday's crash along with balloons, children's drawings and a bottle of Captain Morgan rum. 

Paramedics said nothing could be done to save Jobie, who suffered critical injuries, and he was confirmed dead at the scene on the B4082.

A second man was airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with serious injuries.
