ONE man has died and another sustained serious injuries after a car hit a tree.

Paramedics said nothing could be done to save one man, who suffered critical injuries, after the crash in a Worcestershire village on Sunday, March 26.

He was confirmed dead at the scene of the crash, on the B4082 in Pinvin.

A second man was air-lifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with serious injuries. 

West Midlands Ambulance Service said a paramedic officer, two ambulances, and a BASICS doctor arrived at B4082 in Pinvin just after 3pm and attended to two male patients.

West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "On arrival, crews discovered a car that had crashed into a tree, there were two male patients.

"One of the men was found to have suffered critical injuries in the incident.

"Sadly, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.

"The second man was treated for serious injuries before being airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham."

We previously reported how emergency services arrived at a main road in Pinvin and closed off sections of the road yesterday afternoon.

Drivers were warned of slow-moving traffic at the junction of Naunton Beauchamp, Seaford lane, and Long Lane in Pinvin were closed.
