A nightclub put on a disco for adults with learning difficulties.
Marilyn’s Nightclub, on Bridge Street in Evesham, hosts a monthly nightclub experience for adults with disabilities and support needs.
The event is organised by the team at Inclusion Care, part of Rehability UK.
Inclusion Care run a block of 14 flats at Vale Place on Briar Close, allowing young adults with varying degrees of disability to live independently.
In May last year, Steph Harris was appointed as manager, in addition to her role as team leader.
With help from her assistant Charlie Newman and activities co-ordinator Russell Marks, the Inclusion Care team was crowned West Midlands Care Team of the Year at the Great British Care Awards in November.
“Working with our amazing service users and the team spirit within Vale Place is an honour to be part of,” said Russell.
The Marilyn’s discos are held on the last Tuesday of every month, with doors opening at 6.30pm and the party finishing at 8.30pm.
Entry is £5 per person and free for carers.
