An INCREDIBLE picture of a starling murmuration has been captured near Evesham.
The image was captured last week from the car park of Dobbies at Ashchurch in Tewkesbury.
The picture, taken by Elaine Castleford, of Evesham, shows the murmuration in front of a red sky backdrop over the horizon.
Elaine said: "I heard about the murmuration from a photographer friend who had been to Dobbies garden centre and saw a few photographers pointing their cameras skywards and saw the amazing spectacle for herself.
"Thankfully, I live fairly close so I can visit the area when the weather conditions are at their best for photography.

"It's absolutely mesmerising to watch the stunning acrobatics of the starlings as they swoop and twist around, backwards and forwards, forming beautiful patterns and shapes in the sky.
"I'm certainly not an expert in murmurations and not a wildlife photographer or bird watcher, I just like taking photographs of anything of significance or something of beauty."
According to the RSPB, a starling murmuration is "basically a mass aerial stunt where thousands of birds swoop and dive in unison."
