Worcestershire businesses are being urged to bid for green projects as the deadline looms.
Free consultancy and grant funding is on offer to support low-carbon projects.
Businesses will be able to secure up to 40 per cent of the total project cost, up to a maximum of £30,000.
County councillor Richard Morris, cabinet member with responsibility for environment, said: “Worcestershire County Council is committed to supporting as many businesses as possible to help combat climate change.
“With the deadline fast approaching for this invaluable support, I urge those eligible to apply.
“It is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to gain specialist consultancy to help guide and part-fund innovative green ideas, helping to generate significant carbon savings for the environment.”
One local business which has already benefited from this funding is Worcester-based High Compliance Limited, which provides specialist drone services.
The business received a grant in April 2022 which allowed it to buy a drone that could detect the production and release of methane, allowing their clients to deal with leaks.
Gareth Cook, managing director of High Compliance, said: “The significance of the grant must not be understated as it has helped us ensure the landfill industry takes an important step forward in monitoring and reporting methane and importantly control the methane.”
