A BANK in Evesham town centre has confirmed it will be closing later this year.
TSB, on High Street, confirmed that it will be closing its doors on May 4.
A spokesperson for the bank said that the decision to close was based on an increase in digital banking.
A TSB spokesperson said: “We have not taken the decision to close our Evesham branch lightly, but our customers are banking differently – with more using digital banking.
"Customer transactions at the branch have fallen by 21 per cent between November 2020 and November 2022.
"There is also a Post Office and a number of free-to-use ATMs within a mile of the branch.”
Major banks such as HSBC, Natwest, Lloyds Barclays, Santander, Natwest and Halifax all still operate in Evesham.

According to the TSB website, over 90 per cent of transactions are now being made digitally.
A statement reads: "We need to make sure our branches meet the current and future needs of our customers, so we’ve looked carefully at some of our branches and we’ve taken the decision to close a small number of them.
"But we remain committed to face-to-face services through a branch network that covers the whole country.
"Over 90% of our customers are within a 20-minute drive to their closest branch, or the location of a Mobile Money Confidence Expert at our Pop-ups or Banking Hubs. We’re also opening new Pods in locations across the UK."
