An Evesham shopping centre bucked the national trend by recording record footfall in the run-up to Christmas.
Despite freezing weather, rail strikes, and the cost-of-living crisis, The Valley was able to post record footfall, surpassing pre-pandemic levels.
Bosses at the centre, just off the A46, have credited the events team’s successful Christmas programme for the results.
In recent weeks, The Valley played host to its annual Christmas Dog Parade and also a visit from Julia Donaldson's Stick Man Character, which drew large queues of excited young families keen for selfies to share on social media.
Director, Phil Maclean, said: "It's been a brilliant Christmas period seeing so many families come and make some magical memories.
“A personal thank you to our whole team, led by Emily Burton, who have worked so hard to make it all happen and to continue to put the centre on the map.”
