SNOW is falling in Evesham covering the town and surrounding villages in a blanket of white.

Drivers have been warned to take care on the roads while some children may be hoping for the potential of a day off school on Monday.

Like many of us, they are probably wondering how long the snow will last and what will happen to the weather overnight.

According to The Met Office, the snow is expected to last until lunchtime today (Sunday).

During that time, we can expect mist changing to light snowfall.

Today, the freezing fog will be slow to clear and possibly linger all day in the east, keeping it below freezing in places.

Some sunshine in the west, but isolated wintry showers remain possible with the Met Office predicting a maximum temperature of 3C.

Tonight it will be very cold overnight with temperatures quickly dropping below freezing, leading to a widespread frost.

The city will be largely cloudy with some clear spells in the west perhaps with an isolated wintry flurry and a minimum temperature of -3C.

Monday will have a cold and frosty start with largely cloudy skies across the West Midlands, perhaps with a few flakes of snow in the air.

Maximum temperature according to The Met Office will be 3C.

The rest of the week is predicted to stay very cold with severe overnight frosts.

Freezing fog patches on Tuesday, mostly lifting to brighter skies.

Dry on Wednesday and Thursday with sunny periods and isolated wintry showers, The Met Office said.
