A salon is celebrating double success at a national awards ceremony.
Creative Hair Studio in Blackminster bagged two awards at this year’s Salon Awards for Hair.
Up for six awards, the team returned from the ceremony at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in London with the crowns of hair stylist and colourist of the year for the Worcestershire region.
Tracey Davies, owner of the salon which opened in 2012, said: “I am so proud of all the team who work with me at Creative.
“Hairdressing is an amazing craft, one you have to keep investing in with the best education.”
Creative was named as a finalist for six awards, including best colour, best team, curly stylist, and outstanding contribution.
One of the two awards they claimed was stylist of the year, picked up by senior stylist at the salon, Kim O’Rourke.
“I'm over the moon to have won stylist of the year,” said Kim.
“It’s a great achievement and I'm really proud of myself, the team and creative.
“We all work really hard to produce great work and it's amazing to be recognised for it.
“There were a lot of amazing finalists so it really means a lot to have won.”
Also celebrating success on the night (Sunday, November 13) was manager Hazel Evans, crowned Worcestershire’s colourist of the year.
She said: “After a start stop couple of years for our industry it was fantastic to win and celebrate surrounded by so many talented individuals.
“Achieving colourist of the year felt amazing and reflects the hard work of myself, team and the support of our lovely clients”
Owner Tracey added: “I believe that the awards Hazel and Kim won again this year, demonstrate the continued committed my team have to advance their hairdressing skills in our amazing industry.”
