A Vale hotel restaurant has been named the Midlands’ best.
Karma Salford Hall’s Tempest Restaurant has been crowned the Midlands Hotel Restaurant of the Year 2022 at The Food Awards.
The historic 32-bedroom country house, owned by Karma Group in Abbots Salford, is now looking forward to a busy autumn and winter.
General manager Adrian Willmers said: “Having experienced a very busy summer season which saw the return of many regular customers, plus new guests and Karma Club members discovering us for the very first time, we are really looking forward to the autumn and festive season here at Karma Salford Hall."
The Tempest Restaurant is situated in a panelled hall with period features and chandeliers.
Under the stewardship of head chef James Woodham, the restaurant offers European and English dishes, as well as some inspired by Karma Group’s 43 other resorts, in countries such as India and Thailand.
Mr Willmers added: “Securing the Best Hotel Restaurant Award for the Midlands in the English Food Awards, an extremely respected competition amongst the hospitality industry, was the icing on the cake for us.
“Our experienced and talented Head Chef James Woodhams, and his team, have worked very hard in absolutely nailing delicious food across a variety of cuisines.
“Any guests staying here can be assured of a truly memorable dining experience.”
He continued: “All in all, we believe that our ambience, five star service, and overall offering in this truly unique building, ensures that Karma Salford Hall offers a quintessentially English experience that will linger long in memory.
“Come and discover it now!”
The restaurant at Karma Salford Hall, in Abbot’s Salford along the A46, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner alongside afternoon tea.
