A star of the world’s longest-running drama and an iconic military aircraft will make an appearance as a popular event returns.
Pebworth Party In The Park returns this month, following a three year break.
Sunny Ormonde, who plays Lilian Bellamy in The Archers, will get things underway on Sunday, September 11, before a day packed with activities for the whole family.
Joining Sunny for the grand opening will be the Pebworth firefighters and the Pebworth Parpers brass band.
The afternoon will then continue with dance displays, music, and a parde of vintage vehicles including classic Messerschmitt mircocars and around 30 1950s and 60s scooters from The Awfully Pleasant Scooter Association.
The Scrufts Dog Show will also return with five classes and goody bag prizes for each of the winners.
Perhaps the highlight of the event will be a flypast by a vintage RAF Hurricane from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
This will be followed by a performance from the Pebworth Red Barrows – a wheelbarrow display team.
There will also be a number of quirky events that made Pebworth Party In The Park well-known.
Cow Pat Bingo, the Giant Sack Race and Egg Splat will all return.
Additionally, there will be plenty of traditional fete activities such as children’s races, an arts and crafts show, a produce show, side show games, street food, afternoon teas and a licensed bar.
Pebworth Party In The Park takes place on Sunday, September 11, beginning at 12 noon at the Village Hall Green in Pebworth, CV37 8XN.
