A WOMAN has admitted posting private sexual images of her former friend on social media after punching her.
Briony Carter, of Bibsworth Avenue, Broadway, faces a wait to learn her fate but was told by magistrates she could still go to jail.
The 28-year-old pleaded guilty to disclosure/threatening to disclose private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress, and assault by beating when she appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday, (August 25).
Sumreen Asfar, prosecuting, showed magistrates the images posted on the app on July 11 this year.
Miss Asfar explained Carter and the victim had been friends for four years before the friendship ended last Christmas.
The prosecutor said the victim heard nothing from Carter until June when she contacted the victim saying she wanted her scarf back.
The victim explained to Carter she could not find the scarf, which led to some nasty messages being sent.

Later on Carter went with a mutual friend to the victim's Evesham home.
"When (the victim) gets home, Miss Carter punches her to the face," Miss Asfar said.
"There was some pain for a period of time."
The prosecutor said the incident was only broken up after the mutual friend intervened after Carter had got hold of the victim's hair.
Miss Asfar said later that day the victim was contacted by her child's school teacher to say intimate images of her had been posted to Snapchat - it emerging they had originally been posted by Carter.
Briony Carter and victim's friendship 'went pear-shaped', court hears
The victim had told police it had been humiliating and embarrassing for her, and she had been forced to delete her Snapchat app.
The court heard the images were on Carter's phone as the victim had trusted her with them as she did not want her child to stumble across them on her phone.
Askara Rana, defending Carter, said it was a friendship that had gone "pear-shaped".
"There was a heated exchange, she lost her temper," Ms Rana said.
Ms Rana said her client went to the pub and after a few drinks, on impulse, did the "silly and immature" act of uploading the images - but had deleted the Snapchat story.
After magistrates deliberations, Keith Lloyd-Wright, chairman of the magistrates bench, announced they were adjourning for a pre-sentence report.
He said magistrates at the next hearing would be advised they felt Carter should receive a community order.
The chairman told Carter this was no indication to her sentence adding she could still be jailed.
He gave Carter unconditional bail, warning her she must attend sentencing on September 15.
