A 94-year-old man has died in hospital after being pulled from the River Avon by members of the emergency services.
Evesham Police confirmed the man had died at Worcestershire Royal Hospital after a large police, fire and ambulance presence had been witnessed on Abbey Bridge earlier this morning.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "Around 8am this morning (Wednesday 17 August) we received a report of a man in the River Avon near Abbey Road, Evesham.
"We attended with colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue.
"The 94-year-old man from Evesham was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital but sadly died.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious."

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 8am to reports of an incident in the water near Abbey Road, Evesham.
"Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended the scene.
"Upon arrival, we found a man in a critical condition. Crews immediately began administering advanced life support.
"Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, it became clear that nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased.”
Firefighters from Worcester, Droitwich and Upton-upon-Severn were there, as well as a search and rescue team and West Mercia Police.
