A FIRE that broke out at a KFC in Evesham was in the kitchen, firefighters have revealed.
Firefighters said they had to fight the fire in a space where waste oils and cylinders were present.
The blaze began at the Twyford services restaurant just after 3pm on Saturday and sent huge plumes of black smoke pouring into the sky.

Multiple firefighters from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service rushed to the scene.
A HWFRS spokesperson said they sent two crews from Evesham, along with one from Pershore and two from Worcester, including the aerial ladder platform. They also sent one from Redditch and the incident command unit from the Wyre Forest.
Worcestershire crews were supported by Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Alcester and Bidford after they received the call at 3.12pm on July 30 to The Valley, Evesham Country Park.
A spokesperson from HWFRS added: "The fire was inside a kitchen where waste oils and cylinders were present.
"The incident, in a single-storey building of modern construction, was sectorised with the fire fought by four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus using two hose reel jets and positive pressure ventilation.
"Utilities were isolated and the aerial ladder platform used for an aerial survey.
"With the incident scaled back to one appliance, who assisted with turning over and damping down, a thermal imaging camera was then used to check for hotspots, of which none were detected.
"Reinspections were then carried out at 9.30pm and 1.30am with a final full external check completed using the thermal imaging camera and a triple extension ladder."
Staff could be seen at the chicken restaurant today (Monday, August 1) surveying the exterior and drive-through, which had debris scattered over it.
