A high street arcade that has not been used for 50 years has gone up for sale.
Grade II listed 31-33 High Street in Pershore is on the market for £1 million.
The town centre property has been listed on Fox Town and Country Homes and includes five shops and four self-contained one-bedroom flats.
The estate agent’s description reads: “A fabulous opportunity to acquire this Commercial and Residential Grade II listed building that is set in the heart of Pershore Town Centre.
“Having not been occupied or marketed for over 50 years, this provides fantastic scope for the developer amongst us or entrepreneur that is wanting to bring an old building back to life."
The description adds that the arcade is “whittled with characterful beams, bay shop windows, and bright and airy spaces”.
Additionally, the site features a third of an acre at the rear of the property which Fox Town and Country Homes claims gives it “amazing” potential and scope for development, subject to planning permission.
Potential buyers will need to pay a £1,000 deposit, and VAT.
Fox Town and Country Homes shared the listing on their Facebook and it is fair to say Pershore residents are pleased to see the property getting a fresh lease of life.
Former Pershore High School pupil Melanie Evans commented: "Someone put it out of its misery please."
Fellow county resident, Rosie Chandler, wrote: "How very sad that all this has lain dormant and deteriorating for all those years."
Another, Ed Reynolds, added: "...at last....absolute disgraceful to be empty all these years..."
