TWO men were arrested in Evesham last night after reports of a firearm being carried.
West Mercia Police confirmed a 36 year-old and a 20 year-old had been arrested on July 20.
This was in response to reports of a man carrying a firearm on Crown Meadow, Evesham.
Dramatic video footage filmed by residents showed armed police swooping on the town at around 7pm and police are still requesting any information or video footage to help with their investigations.
A spokesperson said: "Around 7pm this evening, officers received a report of a man carrying a firearm on Crown Meadow, Evesham.
"Officers attended and conducted a search of the area.
"Two men, a 36-year-old and a 20-year-old, both from Evesham, were arrested on suspicion of carrying a firearm in a public place and remain in custody.
"No injuries were reported and an air weapon was recovered.
"Officers remain in the area but there is no wider risk to the public.
"Officers are aware of footage of this incident being circulated and ask anyone with any information to please get in touch."
