A popular Vale attraction has been forced to close due to the heatwave.
All Things Wild in Honeybourne will not open today or tomorrow due to the red weather warning issued by the Met Office.
Concern for the welfare of both animals and visitors alike prompted the decision.
A spokesperson for the park said: "Unfortunately, due to the sunny weather swiftly turning into a red weather warning for extreme heat, All Things Wild will be closed on Monday 18th July and Tuesday 19th July.
"Our main priority is the welfare of our animals, staff and visitors. The animals will be under constant surveillance during this period recieving special icey treats, damp towels and many other ways to keep them as cool as possible.
"Our amazing Animal Team will be working shorter shifts and changing over more frequently to ensure they are safe whilst protecting our animals.
"We are planning to be back open on Wednesday 20th July but will keep everyone updated!"
