A man was taken to hospital with “serious injuries" after a fight on Evesham high street.
West Mercia Police were called to reports of a fight at around 6:40pm yesterday.
A force spokesperson has confirmed that one man was injured and taken to hospital.
An eyewitness said: “I drove through at about 6:45pm and saw two chaps, one was covered in blood, and chairs were being thrown.
“I kept on driving as I had my brother’s little children in the car and didn't want them to see it. It wasn't nice.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service were also called to the scene, along with an air ambulance.
A WMAS spokesperson said: “We were called at 7:32pm to reports of an assault on High Street, Evesham.
“One ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance critical care car attended.
“Upon arrival, we found a man. He had sustained serious injuries.
"He received treatment from ambulance staff at the scene. He was conveyed to hospital for further assessment.”
