A main road through Worcestershire is closed following a crash.
National Highways has confirmed that the A46 is still closed in both directions following a serious collision at around 1am this morning.
The road is closed between the A435 and A4184 near Evesham.
It is understood that West Mercia Police were in attendance.
Alternative routes
National Highways has provided the following diversion routes for motorists.
Road users travelling northbound are advised to take the exit to the B4077 eastbound, when arriving at Teddington Hands roundabout.
Drivers should then continue along the B4077 to its junction with the B4078, Winchcombe Road and turn left onto the B4078 northbound.
Continue along the B4078 northbound to Sedgeberrow to re-join the A46.
Meanwhile drivers travelling southbound should take the exit towards Sedgeberrow when arriving at the junction of the A46 and Cheltenham Road, take the exit towards Sedgeberrow.
At the junction of Cheltenham Road/ Winchcombe Road turn right onto the B4078.
Continue along the B4078 southbound to its junction with the B4077.
Take the B4077 westbound and continue to re-join the A46 at the Teddington Hands roundabout.
