The cause of the delay to a toilet refurbishment in Evesham has been revealed.
Wychavon District Council confirmed yesterday that the completion of the Waterside toilet block redevelopment had been pushed back to July, having previously been expected to be finished in May.
It is now revealed that there have been several issues which have seen the finishing date pushed back.
A council spokesperson confirmed: "A combination of issues have contributed to the delay, including staff shortages due to Covid, service connection delays, and needing to close the site during Storm Eunice."

Work first began in November, with plans to install several new energy-efficient measures such as greywater harvesting tanks, combined energy-efficient taps and dryers.
Councillor Emma Stokes, executive member for resident and customer services, said: "Whilst we are disappointed that this much-needed scheme won’t be delivered on time, we are extremely proud to have won the latest Public Sector Loo of the Year Award and these toilets are being redeveloped to the same high standards.”
