A football shirt worn by an England player will go up for auction to raise money for an Evesham boy battling cancer.
The shirt, worn by Jack Grealish in the Three Lions’ 3-0 win over Ivory Coast at Wembley last month, is being sold off by The Round of Gras in Badsey.
The auction is part of the pub’s fundraising event for Josh Asbury.
Nine-year-old Josh was diagnosed with T-lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma in November, which doctors first thought to be the lingering effects of Covid.
He began chemotherapy on November 20, and treatment is expected to last three and a half years.
As well as the Grealish jersey, the pub will also be auctioning a signed West Bromwich Albion shirt.
For fans of horse racing, a helmet signed by champion jockey Oisin Murphy will be up for grabs, as well as a morning gallop at Martin Keighley’s yard.
The auction and bingo night will be held on Friday, April 29, at The Round of Gras with a range of other prizes also on offer.
