Time is running out to sign up to host a street party for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Residents in Wychavon must apply for a road closure notice for events taking place over the June Bank Holiday weekend by the end of this week.
More than 30 groups and individuals in the area have already applied for permission with Wychavon District Council dropping its usual road closure notice application charge.
Councillor Rob Adams, executive board member for stronger communities, culture and sport, said: "I'm delighted so many parts of the district are already planning to come together to celebrate what will be a special moment in our country's history.”
Wychavon has made more than £15,000 available to town and parish councils across the district, to help support community events celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Queen’s ascension to the throne.
Applications for road closures must be submitted by Friday, April 22.
However, it is important to note that not all events planned will require a road closure.
Councillor Adams added: “It's not too late to do something in your area. You will find lots of useful information on our website."
